When the Indian economy was liberalized in 1991, a new wave of Indian companies flourished, and a whiff of fresh entrepreneurial zeal was prevalent across the nation. Back then, I had just started my journey as a twenty-year-old mechanical engineer working for M/s Voltas Limited, Bangalore.

That was when I first dreamt of charting my own path in the domain of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning). With an open economy and a beckoning global market, I and my fellow dreamers, Mr. Ali and Mr.Vi nod founded M/s ABS Aircon Engineers in the year 1996.The business’ success has been a testimony to our twenty-five-year-old relationship with the market and the vast clientele in the expansive HVAC sector of India. ABS is the hallmark of our friendship.

With a lot of love and sacrifices, I’ve enjoyed every moment of building ABS from the grassroots to a global company. Having spent my formative years in the company by heading the Department of Sales and Marketing in a rapidly developing market, we had to provide quick, flexible, cost effective and long lasting HVAC Engineering solutions to various market segments like Industrial, Pharmaceuticals, Commercial spaces, healthcare, Hospitality and IT & ITES workplaces among others.

Having successfully completed projects in Maputo, Mozambique and Colombo, SL, ABS is now a company with an order book of over 500 crores in business with over a thousand projects across India to its credit. Headquartered in Bangalore, ABS has branches across India

Being a proud member of our three-member Founder-Directors’ panel which was instrumental in building robust business practices and project management processes across its branches, our methods impressed the Japanese giant M/s Fujitsu General Limited, they partnered with ABS in India. In 2018, ABS became a Subsidiary of Fujitsu General Limited.

ABS has also been associated with Industry body ‘Indian Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air conditioning Engineers’ (ISHRAE). Bengaluru chapter for over a decade, contributing immensely to the constant development of HVAC domain.

With a keen interest in development of human values across the society, I’m a nominated member of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) currently helming a film project based on entrepreneurship in Kannada language, the local language of India’s Startup capital, Bengaluru.
